They were taught that:1. The Church is not an organization, but a living organism. 2. The Church, as a living organism, must be filled with and led by the Spirit of God. Here, therefore, are the family traits of New Covenant members:
- They desire to bring glory to God;
- They live with the goal of personifying the love of Christ;
- They seek to enter the process of becoming mature disciples, and determine to help other believers in doing the same;
- They are faithful to evangelize the lost, worship the Lord, gather for fellowship, and minister to those in need;
- They seek to better understand the Scriptures;
- They depend on the power of the Holy Spirit;
- They love assembling in groups (large or small), and take great delight in times of prayer and Bible study together.;
- They understand and respect the need of developing leadership; and
- They realize they are witnesses unto Christ, who is the head of the body (the Church).
