We live in a media dominated world. From our cell phones and computers to TV and the radio everywhere we turn numerous media outlets are there. This reality is more than just an impressive product of human ingenuity; it has magnified humanities ability to transmit messages. In fact, media exists solely to do just that: transmit messages. Moreover, there is no doubt Malcolm Muggeridge is right when he states, “The media is incomparably the greatest single influence in our society today. This influence is, in my opinion, largely exerted irresponsibly, arbitrarily, and without reference to any moral or intellectual, still less spiritual guidelines whatsoever.”

     Thus, the pressing reality facing the church as a whole is what we will do with this aspect of society known as media. It is a tool, one which has dramatically changed the global society with in which we live, and as such it will be used by any and all who can gain access to it to proclaim their messages. We at New Covenant therefore see it as imperative to employ this same tool in our greatest goal: to proclaim the name and message of Jesus of Nazareth.
